2009 Call For Nominations for Appointment to Boards and Committees
The Call for Nominations for 2009 Boards and Committees was sent to cities on Monday, September 29.
Here is the schedule we have developed:
Sept 29 - 1st Call for 2008 Nominations
October 13 - 2nd Call for Nominations
October 24 - Call for Nominations closes
October 26 - 31 - PIC Nominating Committee meets twice
November 5 - PIC reviews the Nominating Committee's work and makes recommendations for appointments to the Board of Directors
December 17- Board of Directors considers the PIC recommendations and votes on appointments
December 19 - Letters of Appointment are distributed
January 7 - Regional Appointee Orientation at SeaTac City Hall
Things to remember:
* You must apply for reappointment, if you wish to continue your work on a committee.
* Please submit a brief summary of your qualifications for appointment. Distill your resume to a paragraph or two. The Nominating Committee has to review a huge stack of applications.
* Let the office know if you are not asking to be considered for reappointment...we won't have to verify later in the process.
* Let us know if you are willing to be assigned where needed.
